Who: The Republic Tigers from Kansas City.

What: Spinning this song today.  Since hearing it as a soundtrack to a Coachella ’09 trip video from a friend, I’ve taken another interest in hearing more from this band.  Filled with atmospheric backing ooohhhs and aaahhhs, sailing keys, and calm vocals, its my perfect soundtrack for soaking in the sun in these warm spring days, drinking coffee on a patio and letting the day start at a slower speed.  Quite conversly, here’s the video in which the band has the song soundtracking their journey to the desert carrying an old wooden boat.  The Republic Tigers are the first signing to Atlantic Records imprint Chop Shop, grab their disc here.
